Przygl±daj±c siê uwa¿nie kolejnym wydawnictwom z czeskiego Horusa nie mogê wyj¶æ z podziwu. Nie do¶æ, ¿e dobieraj± ciekawych i pomys³owych artystów, to na dodatek opakowanie ka¿dego kr±¿ka jest tworzone z równie wielkim pietyzmem. Dlaczego zaczynam od tego stwierdzenia? Ok³adka (choæ to zbyt s³abe okre¶lenie) "Lust From the Underworld" to dzie³o sztuki samo w sobie: kilkudziesiêciostronicowa (!!!) ksi±¿ka formatu A5 z aktami damsko-mêskimi w wykonaniu ró¿nych fotografików. Doskonale ilustruje temat tego kompilacyjnego wydawnictwa: mi³o¶æ i Eros w mitologii, symbolizmie i dzie³ach pisarzy spod znaku fin de siecle.
Przedstawiæ ka¿dy z tych dwudziestu trzech niepublikowanych nigdzie indziej utworów to zadanie i¶cie syzyfowe. Zamiast dok³adnej analizy powiem tylko, ¿e na p³ycie sa kompozycje oscyluj±ce wokó³ dark ambientu (4th Sign of the Apocalypse, Abnocto, Maor Appelbaum, Musterion, Mondblut, Za Frumi), heavenly voices (Jack or Jive), folku w ró¿nych wydaniach (Unto Ashes, Romowe Rikoito, Chaos As Shelter, Sieben), dark wave (Detritus, The Mystery School, Hexentanz, While Angels Watch, Ossaserpia), gotyku (Delusional Day), rytmicznego post-industrialu (Empusae, Hybryds) i industrialnego dubu (Cotton Ferox). Najbardziej znani tutaj to oczywi¶cie The Legendary Pink Dots, obok których znale¿æ mo¿na tak¿e The Circus of the Scars, który brzmi niemal identycznie jak ... The Legendary Pink Dots. Na p³ycie pojawia siê tak¿e nasz One Inch of Shadow (obecnie Brasil and the Gallowbrothers Band) z psychodelicznie bujaj±cym "I Met Jane at the River". Nasz akcent w¶ród wielu znanych nazw.
Ma³o tu s³abych momentów. Znajd± siê takie mo¿e ze dwa. Co najwa¿niejsze, p³yt znakomicie siê s³ucha w ca³o¶ci pomimo sporego rozrzutu stylistycznego. To wielki sukces w przypadku tzw. tribute albums, które s± z regu³y zlepkiem zupe³nie niepasuj±cych do siebie nagrañ. Co¶ dla ucha i co¶ dla oka.
